Hi everybody!
I look forward to seeing everybody and all the great prints at our October Print competition. The meeting is this week on Thursday, Oct 8th at 6:30pm, and will be our last regular meeting and print competition until January 14th. November’s business meeting will be on November 12th and is open to all current members. This is when we vote on officers and vote on changes to our competition rules and bylaws.

As stated in the bylaws: If you have any proposed changes to the bylaws or rules, you need to bring them to a board member at least 14 days before the business meeting on November 12th. So, the meeting this week would be an excellent time to submit any changes or improvements.
At the November meeting, we will be voting on new officer positions for calendar year 2010. If you would like to be an officer of the club and get more involved, please let one of the current officers know so the nominating committee can make sure that all of our new officer positions have nominations of people that want to serve. Also, the November business meeting is the time to bring all your prints that are eligible for the Annual competition (scored 11 or higher) so Rhonda can send them off to our independent judge. Be sure that any prints that you enter are also displayed on our club website galleries in the month it was entered.
Here is an approximate schedule summary for the next few months:
• Oct 8th – Last print competition meeting. Give any proposed changes to the bylaws or rules to an officer. Dinner after at a local restaurant – everyone is invited!
• Oct 24th or there-a-bouts - Dwayne will likely set up a photo shoot field trip – watch your email!
• Nov 12th – Annual membership business meeting to vote on officers and any changes. Bring your annual eligible prints. Dinner after at a local restaurant.
• Nov 28th or there-a-bouts – don’t be surprised if Dwayne sets up another shoot!
• Early to mid December – Annual Christmas party. More details at the Business meeting in November.
• Jan 14th – First print competition meeting of 2010! Bring money for the banquet and your membership dues! Dinner after at a local restaurant – everyone is invited!
• Jan 22nd – Annual print competition awards banquet. Everyone is invited. There is a modest cost to cover dinner and the venue. Bring your spouse and/or friends – there will be the best-of-the-best on display! Awards will be presented, along with critiques of all annual prints from our independent judge.
